At the heart of Vieze Poezendek you'll find Sunny Jansen, also known by Covergirl Sunny. Since she introduced R&B and Hip Hop from the late 90s in the Gayscene in Amsterdam, it was only logical for Milkshake to ask Sunny to bring that sound to the first edition of Milkshake in 2011.
From this moment on, Milkshake founder Marieke Samallo supported the Vieze Poezendek stage as a stage that reflects sounds originated in black culture; Hip Hop, RnB, DanceHall, Salsa, Trap, Vogue, Disco, Funk and House. With the upmost importance that this will be reflected on stage by BIPOC performers and Dj's, showing BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ in all their excellence.
Sunny reinforces that "We must not forget that this doesn't happen, well, anywhere. And it's key that besides entertaining you, we are educating the crowd. I am proud to have been the DJ and host of this stage since Milkshake began."
With Vieze Poezendek at the core and soul of Milkshake, you will not want to miss a moment of what they have in store for you this year. Get to know all of the artists and click here to go to the Artist page.
