Milkshake Festival (Weekender)

Milkshake Festival is an open-minded electronic dance festival for all who love and takes place yearly in the city centre of Amsterdam since 2012. Milkshake shows that entertainment, music choice, choice of clothing have nothing to do with status, gender or sexuality. In previous years there have been 11 stages per day that showcase (inter)national event organizations, artists, and performance artists. The most played genres are electronic, house, disco, pop, techno, R&B, and dancehall. 

Our intention is to create and give a platform to artists and performance artists, that support (or belong to) underrepresented community’s in our society. Life is a party thanks to the great diversity of skin colors, body shapes, sexual preferences, and gender identities. Thick, thin, small, large, gay, straight, trans, black, white, and everyone in between: ‘People are the salt of the earth and this is what we celebrate!' 

Milkshake Indoor

Whenever we feel like the world needs a sprinkle of all the goodness that Milkshake Festival has to offer, we take the party indoors. There are multiple rooms to explore, offering an array of various music genres, vogue balls or performances. Previous editions have been held at Ahoy in Rotterdam and in Amaze during Amsterdam Dance Event.

Love has no borders! The Milkshake team adores spreading love around the globe and in 2017 and 2018 we co-produced Milkshake Festival in São Paulo and created some unforgettable moments.

For All Who Love Foundation x Mini Milkshake

Each year, Milkshake partners with the For All Who Love Foundation. This foundation pays special attention to marginalized groups in 4 pillars: LGBTQIA +, the elderly, people with disabilities, and supports projects against racism and discrimination.

Over a thousand LGBTQIA+ visitors with psychological and/or physical disabilities and their caretakers find their way to the Westergas in Amsterdam to enjoy a full-blown festival experience. Every year volunteers make it possible to enjoy an afternoon full of music, wonderful DJs, vibrant dancers, various activities, and delicious food and drinks.
