'Keep on flourishing and be present, be visible, and most of all, be fabulous.'

This year a total of three beautiful people will be the center point of our campaign. We love to share some personal moments behind these wonderful faces. And so, we sat down with campaign model Kyara to chat about what brings joy, inspiration, and empowerment.

Kyara Harley is a singer, dancer, writer, and all-around creative. It's clear to see that music and arts are totally her forte. Kyara has been most inspired by the ballroom community throughout her life, as she says, they are 'a community full of superstars in my opinion.', which we couldn't agree with more!

What Milkshake stands for translates into shared and personal meanings for each and every one of our community. Kyara shared with us that for her, Milkshake 'stands for freedom, an unapologetic attitude, and just completely being yourself 100 percent.'

We asked Kyara what brings her joy in day-to-day life and to share some words of empowerment that she believes we need to remind ourselves of.

'That’s a good one! I find joy in the little things, to be honest, that may sound a little cliché, but I really do. I find joy when I’m practicing with my ballroom family or when I’m with my friends, just us hanging out together, being queer, and being free, that brings me joy.

I would love to see the LGBTQIA+ community keep on flourishing and be present, be visible, and most of all, be fabulous, no matter what happens. There are a lot of things that are against our community, but we still need to laugh, have fun, dance, and feel good, all of that is what uplifts each other.'
